<< I noticed a lot of DA's art used in this slide show

Almost unknowingly, the first month of 2008 has already become history. I don't know what Feburary has in stock. Is it really the worst month that Romans voted to shorten, or is it the very special month that its length actually changes as the years go by? ( By the way, we have 29 days this Feburary, and also by the way, whenever there are 29 days in Feburary, the Summer Olympic takes place. )
I usually don't come to a conclusion when I meditate on months like this. It is just like how I usually don't come to a conclusion when I meditate about freedom. Sitting comfortably in front of my computer, watching the blizzard ridden Toronto, I cannot help but ask. What is freedom? Is absolute freedom a mere delusion? As I write this journal, I decide to take a look and see what the past wisdoms have to say about freedom, and a lot of quotes turn up, and I will share a few here:

None are so hopelessly enslaved as those who falsely believe they are free. -- Goethe

The average man does not want to be free. He simply wants to be safe. -- H. L. Mencken

As far as your self-control goes, as far goes your freedom. -- Marie von Ebner-Eschenbach

However, I shall terminate my philosophizing on freedom, and get down to the art, in which imagination is the only fetter.

SKY VIEW -- Are the ones in the sky free?

BIRDS -- I cannot help but become aware that the avians are still bounded by gravity:

FEATHER -- Fragile as feather, light as feather:

FANTASY -- Unleashed by the imagination:

OTHER -- Glimpses of true freedom, even if just a glimpse:

WATCHER -- The wonderful works of my loving watchers:
