About Me
:thumb322434572:
My name is Rebecca Nie, and I have been playing with lines and colors for as long as I can remember. After finishing postsecondary and graduate studies at the University of Toronto and Stanford University, I continue my serious pursuit in traditional art while living and working in Northern California. I strive to portray the impermanent beauty of the subjective reality and the everlasting delicacy of everyday experience through my work.
Exhibitions:
2012, Pacific Art League - Waterworks, Palo Alto CA (current)
2011, Wallenberg Hall - Gallery 160, Stanford University
2010, Student Exhibition at COHO, Stanford
Christmas Painting

My mother gave me a beautiful wooden portable easel set, which is another good news. Now back to sunny California, I am hoping to be able to paint something outside. Sounds like an enjoyable way to spend a leisurely afternoon, doesn't it.
Happy New Year.

That being said, I took a lot of pictures on my trip, and I will be organizing/ uploading bit by bit.
Stay tuned!
Cheers,

Exhibition and Other Opportunities at Stanford

Anyway, as mentioned in the last journal, I have submitted my art to the Gallery Night Exhibition they have, and the night turned out to be GREAT! The spoken art, traditional art, and poetry they show is phenomenal! There is so much student talents on campus!

At that exhibition, Mandy, who manages student art on campus saw some of my work and really liked it. So I gave her the permission to show the
